For Commercial Water Mitigation at Your Mechanic Shop in Frederick Call SERVPRO
Any building that has running water has a chance of a pipe breaking and leaking water into the building. A small quarter-inch crack in one of your pipes can cause hundreds of gallons of H2O to pour out into the structure of your Fredrick auto shop.
How do you remove standing water on the floor in my shop?
During any commercial water mitigation project in Frederick, our SERVPRO technicians first work towards removing moisture. At the same time, it is still a liquid before it evaporates into the air and soaks into your contents and building materials. If there are more than two inches of standing water present, then we can use a submersible pump to suck the liquids and put them into one of your sewage drains. If there is water left on the concrete floor of your shop, we can clean it up with a mop, squeegee, or wet and dry vacuum.
What can you do if moisture soaked into my concrete floors?
- Create Air Circulation: We can set up large box fans or air movers to create air circulation in a counterclockwise motion. We can arrange the fans and air movers to push the wet air away from your concrete floors so that moisture can evaporate from the materials faster.
- Set Up Dehumidifiers: Dehumidifiers can be placed in the affected area to keep humidity down during the drying process. These machines remove moisture from the air and dispense it out in liquid form while exhausting warm, dry air circulation created by the fans.
- Desiccant Dehumidifiers: We utilize desiccant dehumidifiers for drying concrete because they use silica gel instead of refrigerated coils. These dehumidifiers can pull out more moisture in a shorter period. We do not use desiccant systems to dry out wooden items because they can cause them to crack.
